Lately I’ve been obsessed with good quality lavender scented deodorants. Nearly two months ago I picked up the Jason Calming Lavender Aluminum and Paraben Free Deodorant Stick, and here are my thoughts on it.
I had to list this one topic first because the scent of this product is one of my favorite things about it! Products heavily scented with synthetic lavender turn my stomach, and generally give me a headache, but this one is absolutely lovely! It’s light enough not to bother me, but strong enough to actually calm me when I get a whiff of my self.
I hate to say this, but this product did not work out at all for me. I will preface any further statements by saying that hyperhidrosis is a common condition in my family, and I do suffer from a slight case of it. That being said, most deodorants can hold up to my super moist pits, and so I do feel myself to be an accurate judge of when something does or does not work from me. Although this product does not leave any white residue, this pro does not outweigh the one major con I just mentioned.
I picked this up for $4.99 at T.J. Maxx, but Amazon has it listed at $6.76 (check it out here: http://amzn.to/2mGtPtM). Since my usual drugstore deodorant (Secret Luxe Lavender) is $5.99, I don’t think that price is really a factor. Had this deodorant been able to combat my perspiration issues, then I would gladly spend the extra money to have a product that doesn’t contain such harsh chemicals.
My overall impression of this product is that it would be awesome for someone that doesn’t suffer from hyperhidrosis as badly as I do. It’s definitely not a comfortable feeling to smell that “BO” offensive underarm stink, and realize it’s coming from you. I also recorded a review of this product on my YouTube channel, so for more info, check it out!
Please let me know if you have any recommendations for natural deodorants! Thanks for stopping by!
